Hosting a forum and use adsense

hi all

i am planning to host a forum and use adsense to earn revenue. as digitalpoint is the most famous forum totally using adsense as revenue source, i have a few questions that need pioneers here to help out.

1. How to make sure that the adsense account wont be banned - of course i will keep strictly to follow all the rules, but i understand that even myself keep to the rules, the account is still quite vulnerable. There must be some techniques to prevent disasters from happenning. This is first priority crucial, as if this cant be done, my efforts might gone with the wind in any minute.


2. What are the good websites or good techniques to publicize my forum. How to get ppl know and come. I and my friends will try to make it as attractive and sticky as possible, but we need ppl to know about it.


3. Maybe this is just in case, besides adsense, what are the best options out there for supporting a forum alive?

btw, my forum will be mainly about the life of my country. i mean, it will be a platform for interaction and communication among my country's ppl, mainly young ppl. wont be something similar to here - otherwise i will be a spy.

ye you can use adsense on a forum! one thing you must remember and comply on your forum is that do Strict moderation don't allow illegal contents to be posted! that is against google TOS

If you are going for forum monetization, my advice is to drop Adsense altogether..

You should visit EarnersForum and pick up some good tips from Lee Dodd

Yes, you can use adsense in forums.. I am too using. Read Google TOS

 

There is no way to protect your AdSense account.
Install AdLogger or asRep or something like this and monitor your forum, but you can't be 100% protected.

Keep in mind forums don't convert very well (unless you have HUGE traffic).

ya u can , unless u've illegal content or adult content.

 

sometimes forum members posting illegal contents, and the administrator might not be able to remove it immediately. will this incur a problem on the site owner?

 

I would say, try to replicate what the webmaster here has done with adsense, on this forum. It's undoubtedly successful.

 

You can secure your account these way..
1. make the forums accessible for members only where you may think that the most illegal contents will be.
2. make the search engine spiders crawl your site as guest.

 

That's a good tip abhik and that's what I do, all the religion and politics posts go in their own areas which are invisible to search engines. It keeps the argumentative stuff together and it's easier to cope with that way. It depends on your board and it's tone - if it's a bit anarchic then maybe adsense isn't for you.

yup it's very successful here. learning from it now.

 

i recomended use MT or WP blog systems
because them showes correlate ads about your posts!
but phpbb or mybb not recomended!
(if U want forum mangment = onle VB)

 

adsense revenue from forum is low anyway. just learn from DP and follow it you might have some good idea to develop your site income. ^^

 

auction ads, adsense, yahoo ads, textlinks.. affiliates.. and a lot more.. explore them

 

Put adlogger and analyse clicks and imprssion every as u will use the forum there will be high impression rate so please be carefull

 

1. Make sure you read the toss, and learn from big forums with adsense like DP.
2. do not display adsense ads in certain pages like register.php(this is because it has no content) etc.. learn from DP and steal some ideas.
