When will that account in my whm be deleted so I can re-create it and see it in the List Accounts section? You said it would take around a day and that was a week ago. Could you not just do it now?

The server is still down. I see MySQL down, but also BIND.

Yup, the server is down again!, Support has been offline for ages, the only way I can speak with Edward is on here.

Well CPanel is working but every file and database on all my sites has disappeared! I can upload new files but everything that was on there has gone.

I hope we can get this back, the money isn't an issue (it hardly cost anything) but the data is very important, especially as the sites are about to go live!

 

My site is really suffering with this too. Is it ever gonna get fixed? Theres virtually no support right now.

 

of course....only people with ALOT of money can afford such a service
or they have been shut down due to illegal material on their server

 

Don't think they've been shut down, as the system is still working. I could re-upload the sites I have offline right away, it's just that what was on there is no more!

I have asked for backups to be recovered, and quite honestly I think it will happen because www.hostgod.net has exactly the same issue at the moment!

 

How long does it take to configure up a new account? I Pm'ed all the info yesterday as requested & I still don't have my account details???

Server's not down - if you go to the IP address you can get CPanel and when you log in it comes up with the "first time user" prompt. From there you can work as normal, minus all content. So the server is up, but all content, including Hostgod's own, is gone.

 

What do you mean?? We need to re-upload everything?

EDIT: I still can't do anything.. waiting up for support. YOu didn't come on msn for about 2 days

 

all homepage data and dns have been deleted by the colocater, thats why you can still reach it by ip, and not by domain...and usually this is becuase the colocater has had complaints about illegal stuff being hosted

 

Certainly looking that way to me - unless they have a backup, which one would hope they would, particularly as their own site is included too.

But I'm not putting anything on until we know whether they're out of business or not - after the amount of work I've spent working on these sites I'm just really nervous.

Only other thing I can think is they're going out of business and have left CPanel running on the server but removed all content. But while the servers are still online there is still hope!
