    Hi all,

Anyone know or use hostgator's vps web hosting?

Im actually thinking of the level 1 package they have.

    CPU
    0.56 GHZRAM
    384 MBDisk Space
    10 GBBandwidth
    250 GB

is 0.56 ghz ram fast enough for a search engine? because it seems quite low..
also this doesnt come with cpanel =s

The other levels are over my budget too..
Anyone recommend me any other cheap and reliable vps hosting.
been having a nitemare with justhost now and been creating a few of these threads on here asking for help. lol sorry to bother u guys.

    thanks!!.

i dont mind level 3, if my site can earn that much.. but the thing is, my site uses 1-2gb usage and high network cpu i would say..
might go with their shared hosting and see where i go from there.

Hostgator provides the best vps hosting, they are costlier but the support is out standing.
So, its always better to go with hostgator rather than going for cheap.
you may find a very cheap vps hosting in virpus hosting. but there is a lot of problems with these kind of cheap hosting. a lot of down time and poor support etc.
i am using hostgator for the last couple of years and found very good.

    Hey thanks dude..
I wish there was a rep button..

I thought of that too, to get a simple hosting and see where i can go from there..

Justhost sucks so bad, i've already cancelled my hosting with them and getting my refund.

i have the same headache . there is really many hosting out there .

site5 is ncie but is worth only if you pay yearly .

hostgator offer what i call a mid end good service . is really good for starter and since if we are using it to earn money .

we should focus on earning money and then UPGRADE as we earn ..
    Good luck

oh yeh, if i choose 3yr plan, is that a clever option to take?
what if i upgrade my plan, do they actually refund me the remaining months? and also will i be able to cancel hosting and get a refund for the remaining months?

3 years is a huge plan . and you might want to upgrade along the way .
i went for the month . is more expensive but is work for me . cos i use my earning to pay for the web . i had not upgrade . cos my earning is still low .

but if it porgress like what i see i may upgrade end of this years .

what i notice over the years is hosting plan only get cheaper as it go .

3 years is a long plan . is good if you are lazy to make monthly payment .

you get the most Value if go 3 years and use a 25% coupon .

then again i myself got the monthly cos is easier to push me to earn more monthly

i went for the hatching plan cos i own a few domain and it gve me unlimited domains whole baby only limit me to one domain .
if you going for the yearly plan . the 25% coupon SUPERGATOR25 would be helpful you save about $29.85

i think u meant the other way round.. hatchlings is limited to a single domain, whereas baby plan u get unlimited domains..

how comes its $9.95 a month?

is their marketing speech . you can find the real price when you enter the coupon and see it before you apply or make payment ..

the price you see is already 20% discounted so if you going for the yearly 12 month - the only better price is the 25% discount coupon . if not you can use the monthly which is $9.95 and you get $9.94 off the first month .

I personally would recommend Knownhost. They are slightly above your budget, but well worth it, and that's coming from someone who provides VPS services. ;) I actually used them for 5 or 6 years or so for various aspects of our support system that I needed on a completely different network.

They offer FAR superior services to anything you will get from HG. Unfortunately, they aren't as cheap as Hostgator's Level1 or Level2 plans, but their Level3 equivalent will save you about $13/mo and gives you more resources.

kevydesigns there is a rep button. It's the star symbol on the bottom in the middle of the "IP" image and the "!" image.

I have been with many hosting companies before I found Hostgator. The baby plan was perfect to host my websites, but after my product became popular and got more and more visitors, I needed to upgrade to VPS. I'm really satisfied with their professional service and can recommend to every business owner.

Hostgator vps hosting is fairly price, and good choice for those looking for high performance vps hosting and with unlimited email sending. That’s the advantage for hostgator virtual private server (VPS).
