HostGator - the worst hosting provider ?!

you need at least VPS for 10k daily visitors. i have 22k daily visitors,and even a level 7 is not enough on hostgator. i need dedicated server . you should be fine on a level 6

 

You switched to Car Tuning? wtf kind of hosting is that?

I agree with you but unfortunately not many people can afford it. I had the same situation and guess what, I upgraded my package to VPS only to find out that it's worst than the Baby plan. I've paid like $49.95 for VPS but my site keep crashing and then they asked me to upgrade. I've decided to revert back to Baby plan.

 

there is no such thing unlimied this is what a newbie doesnot under stand. you must know you limits before signup

I didnt mind host gator but I never used them for a dedi only shared hosting. I would give VMport.com a try. Im with them and so far they have been great. On another note I would not recommend VolumeDrive at all. They have very poor support.

Host Gator is definitely not the best or the worst web hosting provider. They would be 7/10 for webhosting. In terms of unlimted web hosting, this has become a norm for every hosting company. In any terms of service there is a section that actually tells you the limit in nodes, Host Gator is 250,000 nodes. Many other unlimited packages give less nodes. Remember nothing is unlimited, that would be impossible for the price you pay. Less than $10 per month for unlimited, that will never happen.
