I am a customer of HG from last 2 years....
Never get any prob with them becoz of small sites.

Now, one of my wpmu site have more than 8,000 blogs and hostgator shut my site without any notice and asking you have 58,000 tables in database. And you have to delete 50,000 blogs...

And my site is close from 2 days. I asked about plan upgrade but no better response.
Anyone have better solution for it. I am ready to move my site. Becoz I dont want to remove my blogs.

    Need your opinion...

Dont hesitate, and find another host. Dont go for any web host that offer unlimited BW and space because as you can see with HG there is a limit since they dont want you on their servers. The unlimited is an advertising gimmick.

so you have 58k blogs? are you using shared hosting? what plans are you using currently.

If you have so many blogs or sites then you should consider getting a VPS, because you will end up in the same situation on any webshoting service if you are going for shared hosting.

    let me know

It is bettter to get dedicated server, ATOM or Pentium D is good for you,

anyway, it is a little risk becuase you manage your own server not like shared.

In starting VPS would be good for you. For beginners VPS is good rather than Dedi.

That too managed VPS other wise it would create trouble.

    for 58k sites ...

I suggest a dedi. You will easily expand - thus a VPS is just a small temporary solution.

I think dedicated server is the only option. You should go for it now.

Get a managed dedicated server for yourself and get away with problems. No shared hosting environment can sustain your blogs for long.

So in short, there is no good hosting provider in this planet to care for you and your website.

It is better to analyze first for what better hosting to fit our websites, not to go away after running.

and about the hosting provider, it should give a warning message and give advice for what better to solve the issues.
