i was prety happy with hostgator service. but today i m shocked. i have done nothing wrong, then why my domain is showing suspended. my url is itdifferent.com. even last night i worked on it, it was ok, now in morning it shows suspended. i tried to contact in live support. but it says: after around half an hour a person responded and told that "It shows to be active and on" and "It has to be a security issue". the person is responding very slowly. i dont know whats their problem. anyone facing any difficulties with hostgator?
I have the same problem on one of the domains and when i chat with the support guys they ask me to send the screenshot and when I send all the info they take 8 hrs to respond, and by that time it is again resolved.
Im using Hostgator since a year and till now,i have not faced any such problems using it. Its wokring fine for me.. It may be a temporary problem for you.. Hope,it got solved.. peace.
I use hostgator and I am very satisfied with their service and response system. Half an hour is probably a stretch...
I haven't had any issues with them either this year. Although once my account was suspended cause i violated there email policy of 500 emails per hour for shared hosting. That was last year and over with. Got my account active within 20 minutes of the suspened message with a email to the server admin. I didn't read all there policies when creating an account there. (My own fault for being lazy) There live chat can be slow after normal business hour's that i have noticed. Could be on that date, some staff was on vacation or busy helping another customer.
I'm also using Hostgator service for 6 months till today and I've not faced any such problems so far. I always use their ticketing system and they respond me very quickly each time. Always use Ticketing system to contact for ur support and sales question instead of trying to reach them via Live Chat coz its always been busy. Hostgator is absolutely good IMO!
Hostgator squeezes around 2000 websites on a box. When you go close to using the resources you pay for, your account gets suspended or gets put on a dedicated server and it's pay the extra or get closed down. It happened to me and it cost heaps. Do a search on the web and you will find 100's of examples of this. If you have a nice simple website, no cron, no traffic, no resource usage then hostgator is for you. Otherwise, beat the h*ll out of there. Dalt
We put anywhere from 200-300 accounts on a shared server. The amount of accounts really isn't as important as the load which we keep a very close eye on which allows us to stand behind our 99.9% uptime guarantee. Your situation sounds pretty weird. Could you pm me your ticket number on this? Thanks!
