HOstgator or Godaddy for a shared hosting? Anyone had issues?

I need your opinions on both companies.

I'm running out of time and I have to buy a plan in 1-2 days.

I'll host a podcast directory with 30GB disk space - 600gb / month transfer. Can they handle this? which one do you advise?

    Best regards,

You might want to look into something more than shared hosting with your site. HostGator is the better hosting company. I don't like godaddy for hosting. Used them years ago and was not happy and haven't gone back. Between the two go with HostGator.

I have had a good experience with Hostgator, but can't speak to GoDaddy.

HostGator is definitely the best. GoDaddy is best when registering your domains

When I created my first hosted blog, I went with GoDaddy's hosting, but dropped it within two days and switched to Host Gator; I've been with HG ever since. Like others have said, GD is good for domains, but not for hosting.

    I have used both:

godaddy is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!! Stay away, stay far, far away.

Hostgator is by far better then godaddy. Hostgator is maybe one of the best hosting companies I have ever used.

I have one question here...wherever on the internet i look for reviews everybody just says godaddy is not good for hosting in comparison to hostgator, but nobody is really telling what are the minus points or the plus points.Just telling superficially good or bad wouldn't do much.

I am also deciding for a good hosting provider. So guys give some concrete points that will help me in choosing the right one.I will host a wordpress news website
