I cannot access the cpanel! How can I get all my database files ready for a move to a new host without cpanel? Please help someone! this is urgent! I can still access my IPB forum admin cp, but not the main one cpanel!
Well if you owe them money they will lock you out! You will not get access to the database unless you pay.
Shitty deal dude, hope you can get your database from there. Switch to a better host as soon as you can.
I was using Hostgator about 8months back, very happy with them, Let me know, why your account locked out? I may be able to help you !!
I know that Hostgator is an ethical company and it won't just lock you out without any valid reason. What have you done lately that could have triggered this event?
I have been dealing with HG for over three years. They do not lock you out of your account without a reason. Also, their support is great. Any small problems I have ever had were quickly dealt with. I dont know why you owe them $100, but no matter who you host with they will not allow you to continue to have access to cPanel when you owe them money for a certain time period.
u just need to pay them $10 if you want to restore the latest backup which has been taken last Sunday.
They dont lock things out for any invalid reasons... You must have either gonr against their policies or havent paid the pending invoices.. just talk to their Live Support and first get your cPanel activated... then you can do that easily.... Goodluck...
Hostgator is a reputable company. They must have a good reason to lock your account. Email them and asking them why they have lock your account.
I think you were running illegal forum or any other illegal site. otherwise, no chance that they will locked out. Am I right or not ?
Have you tried to connect to the SQL from an external source? In other words with the IP or domain name? If you can connect to the SQL via that method you can use a tool to extract the database that way. However some companies lock the SQL connection to their own servers and IP's. Doesn't IPB have backup ability?
Just do a database backup using the admin cp and then copy the .sql dump file to your PC, upload to the new host and then do a restore. Check to see if your ftp accounts are still active, they operate separately from cpanel. You might want to hire someone who knows how to work without a GUI panel.
