Hostgator issue

All my blogs on the site are just gone because :

    "Hello,

This message is to advise you of a temporary block placed on your database. The database was found to be consuming an inordinate amount of processor time, to the point of degrading overall system performance. While we do limit each account to no more than 25% of a system's CPU in our terms of service, we do not actively disable accounts until they greatly exceed that number, which is what happened in this case. Requests to this database may become degraded by limiting the maximum number of queries or connections for a limited amount of time, or if there are sustained issues, ultimately we may be forced to block access to this database until the issue has been resolved.

Resolving this situation may be as simple as adding additional indexes to your database, optimizing the queries used, or something equally easy. If not, it may simply be a matter of moving this database to dedicated services, as it may have outgrown a shared environment.

If you believe you have a solution to this overuse, we are happy to discuss the situation with you and possibly reinstate the database on the server. Otherwise, we will be happy to assist you with the upgrade process if a dedicated server is the most appropriate solution. Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you shortly. "

    What should i do ?

Most to some other host ?

If you were on a shared plan, get a VPS.

Your site has obviously gotten too big for shared hosting, and you will most likely have this issue no matter where you go. VPS or dedicated server is a good option.

Any Shared Hosting package has limitation on the usage of server resources. If your usage increases, you must upgrade to VPS atleast. If you can invest in Dedicated Server then go with it.

You never know what is behind the smokescreen. Is all that software certified that you are pushing on the blogs?

I always receive such email from HG.

After I transfer to other hosting also its shared hosting, I don't receive any complain from the host.

My advise for you is time to change to other host.

I take the email from hostgator positively they are trying to solve the matter with you and trying to help you, you can ask for the database or optimize it or upgrade your plan, no need to worry about.

I have been with HostGator before, there customer support never knew anything advanced... When i phoned i always got put on hold for 15 Minutes before i actually heard a voice then they would go ask a higher level technician and etc.. it went on for ever and i would not recommend them.

If you are going to move hosts I would recommend going with a VPS server. You are going to continue growing the sites and the resources you are using, at least I hope your plan is to keep growing. Might as well upgrade now and not run the chance of going through same thing with new shared host. On the VPS you will have your own dedicated resources and your new host should provide you with MRTG graphs that shows your usage. You will always now what you are using.
