Hostgator down?

All my servers are back up.

 

My sites are working, very very weird. I am in Canada. Hope you guys get back up soon.

 

apparently the one server i happen to have my site hosted on is under DDOS attack...been down for over 3 hours now...what great service...good lord, you'd think a company like this would have a backup strategy or something in cases like these...this sucks

 

Im still down too, can't access anything related to hostgator

 

Sorry to hear it...they told me that they have no ETA on when this will be corrected. Lord only knows how long this will last.

 

it seems everything is working now, but they could have sent an email or something out

 

Not sure if this is relevant but some of the servers were having problems I think. It wouldn't let me create or manage any databases this morning but they just rebooted the server I'm on and it works fine.

Maybe this has something to do with it.

 

i know hostgator isn't the most reliable, but they do a pretty good job for the prices they offer...

if you're paying $5 a month you really shouldn't be complaining. I'm on a dedicated server and their prices are still pretty good!

 

Did anyone have a chat with live chat support about this or knows what has caused it?

i have been monitoring my site's uptime since this thread started and still no downtime. I'm in US.

 

I joined hostgator 2 weeks ago with a reseller account have not had it working yet and support is completely useless just moving away today as I have had enough of lack of contact and useless support staff
It seems if your too stupid to pass macdonalds entrance questions ie name age
you are ok for hostgator support
