Got this email today: WTF? I hope someone at CJ has pressed the wrong button (wouldn't be the first time)...
WTF? is dead right. I am with hostgator also or so I thought, no email but i just logged in and it is gone from my advertisers list. very strange......I guess its time to change some links ...if only I could remember where they all are?!?
Tell me about it.. ------------ HostGator's affiliate sign up page doesn't mention CJ (did it ever?). If we sign up with HostGators inhouse affiliate program, and then find out that CJ have made a booboo (they've been known to deactivate advertisers, then reactivate them a week later) - have a look at this little gem in the HostGator TOS: Hmmm......
Thanks for posting this, I am in the same position. I emailed the hostgator affiliate team hopefully they will have some good answers.
I've got that e-mail too... I was with HG trough CJ so far... but interested in experienced with HG in-house affiliate program... anyone using it and what are experiences with them?
I'd be shocked if that were the case. I bet that you'll soon get an email that they were re-activated. That seems to be happening a lot.
I'm already getting flooded with "invalid click" messages from CJ. I guess we'll all be moving over to Host Gator's inhouse program in the next 24 hours. This reminds me of the overwhelming joy I felt when eBay left CJ and I had to change all my links.
Has anyone heard any official word from HostGator as to the status. Did Hostgator recently reduce their inHouse affiliate rates? Thanks!
Sounds like there was some confusion at Commission Junction. All of my links are back and operational now.
Email has already been sent that it is back on. Probably a funds issue. HostGator may payout good but their in house management is poor.
They extended my commissions with hoastgator, does this mean they'll unextend since they are back on?
hey main got 2 emails first one stating hostgator deactivated and the latest what the hell is going on
Looks like they just slipped up & forgot to pay their bill for some time... things should be fine now. On a side note, CJ contacts advertisers multiple times before deactivating an account. The blame for this is on HostGator.
