hostgator.com is down?!

all of my websites AND hostgator.com is down...
won't load..

anyone else experiencing this?
please let me know if http://www.hostgator.com works for you.

HostGator is working for me, as are my sites hosted there, and the Alertra spotcheck tool shows hostgator.com as being accessible from Sydney, Shanghai, Orlando, Los Angeles, Frankfurt, Atlanta, Oklahoma City and London.

well its a bit slow but working , my four sites are hosted on hostgator they are working fine.

 

I don't use them. I have my own server. Hostgator's servers are so slow.

But if you read the blog entry they had up about overselling it's never going to be space and bandwidth that are the issue but CPU and ram. This is standard for pretty much every host out there. We've never suspended a guy for using space and bandwidth it's always been yeah lets run poorly coded scripts that each hit uses all the CPU then the user gets a ton of hits and well they're never close to the resources.

 

Thats the way oversellers are yet, in the market. If each users started using 1 TB of bandwidth, they'll need to look for a server or vps or at least another host.

but if u have a large amt of space and bandwith u will be tempted to try new stuff . and new stuff could also cause high server resource usage.

not only poorly coded scripts use high server resources it can also be highly featured scripts with many functions so basically is false advertising . they should also mention server usage in thier plans

 

I cant believe that Hostgator is down... according to them... they will refund your money if your site is down... they are that much confident in that. its the best web hosting company (Not because am one of their affiliates )
