hostgator business plan any good for ssl?

i was thinking to get the business package from hostgator,as i need few sites to have ssl installed ,
and someone told me to get hostgator business as they have the unlimited ssl and dedicate ip,
and i dont have to install much ,to configure them,

can you share your experience here? as i never had hostgator and also how the ssl process is under their cpanel?

They don't have "unlimited" dedicated ips, remember that. They will charge you 2$ per ip from second ip. SSL Certifies can easy install through cPanel, so you don't need worry. Just creat a ticket and ask about that.

 

That is incorrect. Hostgator does not allow you to install your own SSLs. They must do this for you. Also, the business plan provides 1 SSL that covers 1 domain name. If you need multiple websites covered, you must get a reseller plan and purchase SSLs separately at $50 year from them.

 

Overall it looks not bad.

 

You should go to NameCheap, buy a domain name and you can add (on cart) 1,99$ PositiveSSL Certificate. Look not bad.

 

There are plenty of better providers out there than HostGator.

i just wanted to find a host that has good support,cpanel,and unlimited all,also unlimited ssl,as i have about 5-6 sites that i need ssl enable to receive payments from authrize.net.

 

i have hostmonster dot com and hostable dot com and i know that 1 domain per acc you can have ssl...hmmm

Hostgator is popular in webhosting today most especially with the affiliate program they are offering.. However, I suggest that before you get the business with Hostgator compare it with other webhosts not just with the price but the services provided. We all know moving from webhost to another is relatively easy but then again it is such a pain to have the need to do so.

 

guys ,i am looking for a good host that has unlimited ssl ... or if i can ad like five ssl on some sites,

because most of the hosts are shared ,and they accept only one ssl per account,

so thats why i asked if hostgator will be fine as i so that they have unlimited ssl ,,but i guess they are charging for dedicate ip 2/m (24$ year) ?...

You seem to be set on HG but there are many things that have changed over at HG very recently and more things are to come very soon as well. It will take you a bit more time but maybe you want to do some more research. Try to come up with a short list of maybe four providers and ask how they compare around the forums. You can also go ahead and call or e-mail the hosts on your short list. You can ask them specifically about your needs and contacting a host before you sign up for their plan gives you a very good idea about the type of service you will recieve once you do become a client of that provider.

Why don't you use marblehost.com, they are able to meet the needs of any discriminating webmasters with a tight budget.
Being in your place, the OP, I'd use them.

 

Remember that, Brent is not the owner of HostGator anymore. Now HG is a part of EIG.
You will now experience same experiences like in Bluehost, fatcow, iPage and VPSlink which are the parts of EIG.

 

I dont think there can be a better substitute to GoDaddy and HostGator. However, if one pays for something the advantage can be driven from the other.
