Hostgator Affilliate program

I want to become a Hostgator affiliate, but I read in this forum that there are two ways to affiliate with them. Using CJ or registering directly with them. However, according to that post if you do it through CJ the commissions will be lower.
    Is that true?

According to their site, your commission goes up to $125. So your minimum commission would be $50 for 1-5 sales per month. Going by CJ, your commission is $100 for every sale. If you signup through their site directly, you would have to reach 11-19 sales per month to make $100 per sale.

Thank you very much. It seems a lot better to use CJ to sign up.

    Cheers!

I would not recommend HostGator through CJ. I used promoted them and had 35 sales ($3500 USD) in one month. They withdraw it all just before "lock". I changed to HostMonster and no problems at all with them.

I've never gotten a single sale through their affiliate program over the course of several months, and just dropped it entirely. I was doing it through their site. Lots of clicks and no sales...I just got suspicious.

I am not sure if they lock the sales correctly or not but if you want to become their affiliate, CJ would be a better option as they pay you $100 for every sale through CJ. Best of luck! :)

I have used the direct Hostgator affiliate program. Sales do show up, but I've yet to be paid. I haven't dug deep into their policies to see how long it takes to payout, but I'm getting ancy.

I have just started using hostgator through CJ and direct and so will report any findings. What sort of conversion rate is everyone getting? Im averaging 40-60 clicks but that is for one day..yet to see a sale so far.

that's basically the kind of results I saw for months, hence why I dropped it.

ceint_com the only time anyone is dropped is when they are trying to defraud us or are sending bs signups. What was your affiliate username? I'd be happy to go over every signup you sent us.
