    do not buy from hostgator. They are sucking. They have bad support. I suffered already & they did not create my account without any reason & they deleted my account from their billing panel too without any reason. Asking me my photo id.

    hostgator r cheaters dnt do deal with them they closed my site without any reason and didnt refund me :(

    If they did without any reason, why then they would be asking you for the photo ID?

    All hosting provider does have mixture of affect, it simply happens due to the rational process of human psychology. What matters is the weight of the total positive and negative :)

    It has been common practice for many web hosts to ask for such things from clients that live outside the USA.

    Hostgator only asks for proof i think if u buy the 1 cent hosting specially with someones refferal
