Host monster or IX web hosting? Please help!

I'm totally puzzled. I want to buy a hosting and so far I've come across to these two hosts; which I think are very cool.

I want to buy a plan. But as I already said: I'm totally puzzled.
Please let me know, which company is more reliable and efficient.

Well, I want to host more than 2 sites.

1. Portfolio
2. Personal Blog and Gallery etc...
3. A Harry Potter Forum (with over 3000+ active members)

I use both, personally I like the IX Web Hosting but their support is not so great.

 

Yes, Hostmonster here. Support is good as you can choose between email, online chat and phone support. I usually use the chat support because I can record the details for future use. My sites varies from directories, blogs and to flash sites and hostmonster works with them just as great.

 

I have no experience with either of those, but out of all the hosts I've been with, Hostgator is definitely #1

 

I've used IX hosting for 2 years now. Generally I find them reliable & never had any problems with support.

However with a growing forum you might want to consider vps hosting providers instead because they allow higher server loads.

I second the recommendation of others with hostgator. Used them for a while and they are pretty good.
