I love hostgator. For one hosting account you are allowed unlimited domains. I pay $15/month and I have about 50 domains on the one hosting account. Not subdirectories, but add-on domains. Customer service is great too. Always respond in under 24 hours.

Looks like I'll switch over to Gator.... my current Host; Atlantic.net ....they won't allow our Forum vbseo, something about 'security issues'. I also tire when I call them, sometimes we wait 30 minutes or more and college kids answer the phone.

    HostGator.com

Is the best hosting company out there.

I have ~40 sites hosted for more than 1 year and i'm satisfied.
Their online support is excellent, they'll help you with any problem you might have.

I say you should go with hostgator.

They have the best online support I have ever seen with a hosting company. I used to have shared hosting but recently upgraded to reseller and I have been very pleased so far. None of my websites have ever been down and they load extremely fast. I highly recommend hostgator.

Respect to hostgator, they are the best!

Since now there were 3 times when I needed help (once was enabling wildcard DNS others were similar) it took them about 1-2 hours (everytime) to fix the problem and email me back with it. Sick!

And the other good thing is that you can pay monthly and that they are cheap!

Does Gator have phone support? Last thing I want is type support ticket,s wait, back and forth bullshit and in 3 days (maybe) you have a solution!

And I'll pay extra for phone support.

There are many threads about Hostgator that is hard determine in which I have posted and which not.

I think this is one of those I didn't so I would say I like Servage over any other server.

Perhaps one of the worst Netfirms.

I've used HostGator since the first day I started working online and have to say they have been great. If there is ever a problem, which there very rarely is, their on live support and most of the time sort it out for me.

    10/10 in my book!

I had never had a problem with hostgator in 2 years of using them...until today!!

Can everyone else using hostgator verify that the hostgator.com website is actually down? My dedicated server with them is completely down now and Im wondering if its me or if everyone else is suffering too...

    All the lost revenue......

I have been using Hostgator for a bit over 2 years now and I advise it to anyone, who targets US traffic.

    +
    1) They provide you almost unlimited resources. The amount of memory and bandwidth they give you is almost insane. Who actually needs 600GB memory and 6TB of bandwidth? Actually they even gave me 20 extra GB of memory once I joined...that's more than some other webhosts provide you all together and they just gave it to me for free! Not only that, but the amount of resources has increased 6 times during my stay at hostgator (when I started, my package had only 100 GB of memory...)
    2) 1000 domains. I host about 15 domains at my Hostgator account (some of them are just parked though). That's almost unlimited.
    3) Unlimited CRON jobs. Usually web hosts don't provide enough crons (if any), but in hostgator you can have unlimited amount of them unless you execute one more often than 15 minutes.
    4) You have a change to attach your own php.ini file through special feature developed to cpanel.
    5) Unlimited amount of almost anything you need - email accounts, mysql databases, subdomains....

    -
    1) Forget Hostgator if you are targeting European traffic. I had to move one of my websites back to the old host as it was targeting Estonian audience and it became so slow it took ~10 seconds to load (I'm not exaggerating, the site is huge).
    2) Read the TOS carefully. It hasn't happened to me, but I've heard they are eager to ban all the accounts even slightly violating it.

Yeah ... they have great phone support. Email also. They actually answer their email usually the same day. Their support is awesome

Hostgator support is okay - I'd had minor issues with them but for the price, I'd say it's good hosting.

    Personal experience...

HORRIBLE! Hosted a site once, had some complaints and the next thing I knew..my site is banned from Hostgator after I complained about it.

Their live telephone support is horrible too. Half of the time they can't solve the issue and essentially you're forced to use ticket which destroys the point of phone support.

Small sites, I say no issue but big sites...sorry you'll hit the wall with these guys.

I've had Hostgator for a year, I'm using it on three different sites and I cannot say enough good things about it.

Haven't had a single second of downtime and their Customer Service is indestructible.

    Go for it.

Hostgator and Blue Host are the best in my opinion.

Hostgator allows almost any content where Blue Host is more restrictive.

I think Blue Host has better customer service, but Hostgator's okay once you get used to their support system.

I hate any host that oversells as much as hostgator do.
