Did you have a real pr5 page or was it one of the pages that got over-inflated in a pr update a while back and now it has been adjusted?

You should try to access your website via http:// http://www. didn't you changed the url after you removed the 301? from site.com/directory/ to site.com/directory (without /) or anything like that?! didn't you modified index.html to index.html or index.php ?! After you check all this, and you found you are having a real Pr1... then the only thing you should do is to waith until the next(1-4) PageRank update . Why 1-4 pageranks updates?! well... if you did a temporary redirect... pr came back at the next google update, if you did a permanent redirect google will only recome visiting that url after 6 months!
