I'm looking for opinions about which one to use for my blog.
Of course if there's any other that would be even better please let me know.
I'm on a MAC if that makes a difference.

    Thanx

Both are webmail clients. I don't think they've got anything to do with your blog.

I was thinking of setting up email for the site and through ASO I was using the cPanel and found those two.

Maybe I don't even need to set either one up, but how do I receive and send emails through the website then?

why not try them both and see which you like more. It really is personal preference.

I like horde better since it lets you check all the email aliases in one session. But thats my opinion.

i prefer the simplicity of squirrelmail i dont think theres much between either really, you could always just forward the messages to something like gmail or hotmail or yahoo mail or something

I like the way Horde is structured. SquirrelMail looks like something that was slapped together in the mid-90s... Though, once you've accrued over 2,000 emails on one account, Horde seems to suffer in performance. Did you know that you can run them simultaneously from the same server? You can use either, or... Just another option for you.

    Thanx everyone :)

Run them both at the same time? So if someone sends me an email, I'll get it on both?

Interesting if true... How do I set that up?

I love SquirrelMail because of its simplicity. :) It's also loads much faster for me and the left frame that has the details about how many new messages are in the inbox always refreshes it self so you can leave it minimized and check back from time to time, and if there are any new emails you can either refresh the frame on the right or click on the inbox link :)

I highly recommend it ;) very convenient.

I prefer SquirrelMail like everyone else because of their simplicity, also I prefer SquirrelMail over Horde as I use Outlook when I am at home and if I delete a email in Horde it still downloads in the next Outlook Send/Receive even though it has been deleted, where as this does not occur with SquirrelMail.

Sounds great. Thank you all for the help. I think I'm going to give SquirrelMail a try first. Just a simple choice based on the comments here. Later I may try Horde.

Now, does anyone know how to get it up and running on my blog? Through cPanel I click on the link and I get what looks like a working page. But how do I set up the email accounts? I tried looking for directions but to no avail.

Let me be a little more clear about it.

I have already seen that SquirrelMail is active with and email addy for me. It uses a login name from WordPress, I think.

    1) I'm guessing I cannot change the original "name@domian.com" but I'm hoping I can add others email addys/accounts to it. I have already added two new folders.
    2) How do I actually connect the email service to my site via a link? You know... Click "contact" and get the email automatically.

I'll bet it's really easy... sorry for the NOOB questions :)
