horde cp and linux rewrite permission?

    hey guy's / gals having a problem had to upgrade m hosting account for php 5 only problem i've never used linux and dont know how to set permissions for the rewrite of files and folders for pretsashop shopping cart any solutions advice?

    Do you have access to a control panel?

    Are you on dedicated hosting or shared hosting?

    Need some more details.
