Makes sense to me Hey everyone, I was hoping all of you who’ve been doing this a while could recommend some good services I could purchase to help promote a web site. When it comes to marketing I am absolutely terrible, I mean I can make the site, I can do all the research on the product, I can handle everything else but marketing just eludes me. I’ve never been a good salesman of any kind, if God came down to me tomorrow and told me I had 30 days to promote a website so that it averaged 10 visitors a day I wouldn’t do any promoting I’d just spend the 30 days getting my affairs in order. That’s how terrible I am at marketing. So, since I can do everything but marketing I’m now looking in to paying people who are good at it to do it for me. So, if you have the time, I’d appreciate any advice all of you can give me on where to go to get this need met. When you go into paying someone for marketing really you should stick with a long term seo plan that will optimize your site as well as build relevant backlinks. I really think that it may suit you well to do most of the marketing on your own. I understand the problem though since marketing is by far the hardest part of being a webmaster since the competition is so great, but if you work hard you can do it. The thing you have to realize unless your willing to spend big bucks on ad words don't expect anything quick. They throw there site in the mix and if it is liked viewers vote good and your website moves up closer to the top page. These are easy to join and utilize for both direct traffic, high quality backlinks, and very quick indexing into googles index. Do a search on google and request an exchange from people in your niche to do this type in xbox repair and begin requesting. 2. Go do dmoz.com and find gaming do the same thing. 3. Use a service such as www.linkmarket.com which is free and begin requesting link exchanges. You also need to start a blog about your website making sure to link back to it. You can use wordpress or blogger. Also blog commenting is a very good way to gain relevant backlinks. Most people use do follow blogs to do this, but there is a argument that though a blog may not be do follow it is still worth the comment and still counts. Anyway you need to know how to market a website before you start throwing out money and you need to know how much to pay for each service. For articles I usually charge 5 bucks but only write articles in the field that I know which is making money and marketing a website online. Don't pay more than 5 bucks and make sure the article is between 600-1000 words. For directory submission dont pay more than 25 cents per directory and make sure they are manual submissions to directories that do not allow auto submissions. This one is a little harder to do because what all the pay for directory submissions are is usually an auto submitter. Anyway this should give you the base to get started one thing you need to remember you are competeing against millions so don't expect anything for the first 6 months and really a year to two years of hard work is what it takes to become a true competitor in your niche depending on the competition.
