Update: I have also collected cash, I tried to collect on behalf of my friend but they refused to issue, and than I went with him and finally collected.

The rate given by western union is 50.47 /$
However, the open market rate is 60.70 /$

Beside that everything goes pretty good.

Yeah your right. I collected my money today from Faysal Bank and got it at 59.47 . What about you guys? About the same rate?

 

Najam you are putting wrong figures , WU given rate for me is 59.47.

My payment was 313.61 $ and I received Rs:18652.33.

so, exchange rate difference is WU charges/comm , and its normal as banks deduct from check clearing. But with WU we save a lot of time. a

I got it from Pakistan currency exchnge with this rate, a friend of mine got it from Zarco exchange with same rate and others in this thread have also got it at same rate. I think the rate is provided by WU and not by the exchange service you are using.

I got my first ever WU payment tomorrow. I have got one thing to ask though. $10K I heard is the max amount you can get via WU. Is that a monthly/yearly limit? Or is it all that you can get in your lifetime? :S

Looks, like that is how Western Union earns money, by giving less $ to INR/PKR Value, with present Exchange rate. That is a lot of money they make.

Collected the cash aswell, I asked with Zarco Exchange that why the exchange rate is TOO low, they said that the dollars rate are down .. this is not from WU
