Hookah Website Revamped One more time

Get a hookah, pack a bowl, start smoking, ....

and then take a look at the site,

It's decent design,clean and simple to use. But I like it most because of the funny "picture of the week". Overall, I like the structure of the website and also the mascot (it looks great), but the design can still look better with some little changes:
- remake the navigation bar
- change the black background behind the sliding images to something brighter or maybe just get rid of it.
- for the sliding images, instead of using the white background for titles, make them a bit transparent, also changing the green of active image title to blue or red would be better. BTW I think if you stick with black, blue and red colors for the whole website it would be great (to suit your mascot colors)
- if the main purpose of the website is selling products, then move "Featured Hookah" and "Featured Shishah" upper (instead of "Hookah Wiki Project" and "Our bloggers"
- for the top right of the website, get rid of "the login in facebook" button. And maybe use better social icons (smaller ones)

 

Ok its nice but besides the logo I wasnt certain what the website was offering.

Take a peek here modernvapor.com, these guys have a cool design happening of tobacco related products.

I agree with the above poster, if this site is primarily a store, focus more on the products on offer and have the other stuff as a small extra bonus

Yes, The goal was to stay simple and offer a full row of hookah information/tools

 

I implemented a bunch of the feedback that I received from everyone. Care to take another look at the site and comment?

 

Incremental upgrades are my favorite thing. We're in November now and I've made yet another update. Comments are welcome

 

I love the design.. I also like the first video in Featured Video section because Mozart La Para is my cousin

 

I like it.... to the point..not confusing to navigate at all... colors great... forum even better!

Colours, colours, colours.

Everything else is great - just make sure every colour means something
The forum colours are different from the front site

...The menu to the right of the logo look great - take your cue from that in terms of font and colour for headings and links
(great logo btw reminded me of hookah bars in Europe )

 

I've made some further modifications (mostly in colors and background). let me know what you guys think.
