1) US was a net oil exporter this year for the first time since 1949.

2) US oil demand is at a four year low, due primarily to high fuel efficiency vehicles.

3) The newest wave of fuel efficient vehicles in the US (The TDI@~42mpg, and the PHEV@~100mpg) have only been readily available in the US since 2009 and 2011 respectively

Over the next five years, the old low fuel efficiency vehicles will be moving off the market in the US, many of which will be replaced by the newest generation of vehicles that are 8x more fuel efficient, or demand only 1/8th the oil. Lets say that translates into a 25% reduction in US oil consumption, which is not at all unreasonable to imagine. What happens to oil prices? What happens to our necessity for a relationship with the KSA?

We are basically buying the last oil we will ever need at bargain basement prices and your Saudi leaders are the ones who make it all possible. I'm sure we will have a place for them over here when the oil market crashes and the rest of Saudi Arabia revolts after being left in poverty. So wrong. Funny. But wrong!
