    Obama's eco policies are crazy. He wants to solve our energy problems by passing legislation to force Americans to use less energy.

    There's no way in hell that's going to work.

    Americans want energy, more of it and cheaper.

    We are not, as a culture, going to accept being plunged back into the pre-industrial age so some politically correct assholes can feel good about our "carbon footprints."

    But also, we don't gain a lot just by moving part of the cycle from the vehicle to the grid.

    We need some way to make the grid more economically and environmentally efficient, or we're just shifting our problem.

    We need ^$%^&$%*%^*&% nuclear power.

    I think that our PM Gordon Brown thinks the same way - it's immoral in his eyes that we use energy whereas most of us see it as progress... I have absolute faith in science finding a green solution to our energy needs - it's just politics/money that are getting in the way
