Im very new to making websites,Ive been trying their trial learned alot about making a website this past couple weeks.Anyways,Im planning on making a simple website, for adsense/affiliate new thing.Their customer service gave me great confidence in their business, when they called like 5 minutes after I signed up.So is it worth paying 10-20 bucks a month for your website besides if your making money off adsense/affiliates/advertisments?
If you're new, I'd say no. Most newcomers get visions of grandeur in their heads and it tends to cause them to think they can make millions of dollars off of the Internet. Usually, these sites end up being rarely visited and don't even cover costs in the first year while the newcomer stumbles and bumbles his/her way through the process of learning how to make websites and money. Most people never really do get it all the way. Basically, to cover your hosting costs (and I'm making a very conservative traffic estimate here), you need approx. 1000-2000 visitors per month. That's if you're lucky enough and your site generates a penny per every visitor. Realistically, you're going to need between 5000-10000 visitors per month. That doesn't just happen at the snap of a finger. It takes time, good content, lots of links, and a core audience that will come back for more. So...unless you're prepared for some short to mid-term hardships as you figure things out, don't go there. Mess around with the free hosts until you get things down pat. Quite a few of them are out there that don't have ads or anything. Once your site generates enough traffic to justify moving to a paid host, then do so. You can always redirect your users and search engines to the new site. I know it's probably not the answer you wanted, but at least it's the best answer I feel I can give. I hope it does help.
I didnt really visalize thousands of people coming all at once, and making millions. Then if not homestead, what sites do you suggest I should go to then?
