Homepage or Sitewide?

Hi Guys,

I was wondering.. Which counts better:
1)Homepage link?
2)Sitewide link?

I though sitewide is better since it is also in the homepage.
I was told me that a single homepage link is better.

I need your help with it.

Better for what? PR or SERPS?

I'm not sure that anything has been proven conclusively. Sitewide would be better for traffic, because there are more opportunities to be clicked.

Throughout my experience no different SERPS or PR. But sitewite better because you can index your links very soon. Because some time google cached inner pages than home page. So if you have sitewide you will get back soon.

 

There are so many other factors to consider, such as differing PageRanks. Assuming that the home page had the same PR as every other page in the site and that the link would be placed in the navigation either way, then a sitewide link would seem better IMHO.

But, don't fall into the trap of thinking that 10 links from 1 site are worth as much as a link from 10 different sites.

Id go with homepage or 1 page rather then site wide.
