Home page of my website loading very slow what can i do for this site i dont want to remove anything from page
Off course it is slow - it is 357K in size. There are too many images. If you don't want to remove anything - there isn't much you can do other than reduce the image file size - but that isn't going to solve your problem. It takes several minutes for your page to load on a modem - which is way too long. I would get rid of the flash too.
If you do not want to remove anything there is little you can do. Personally i would find a different way to display the information. have a look at http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/wso.php?url=http://www.valakiexports.com/ You can reduce it a bit by compressing your graphics files, ie, i just tried your bottombg.jpg and reduced it from almost 60k down to 30k and it looked fine, but then you are still looking at about 8 seconds on a dialup modem for just that one graphic
As has been said before; on a low speed dial up modem, a page like that will take longer to load with that much graphics and flash animation. Actually it loaded pretty fast on my computer but I have high speed and fast processing. I think that if you like how it looks now, stick with it, but if you are more concerned with your visitors being able to navigate your site more easily you will have to compromise and consider removing some of your higher graphics and flash from your home page at least. I have had to do that on occasions. Look at one of the most successful sites ever and see how simple their homepage is. "GOOGLE".
Here are some tools for making web page smaller in size, resulting in load faster. 1. HTML Shrinker Light 2.60 (free) Shrinks various web file types e.g. HTML, WML, WMLS, SHTML, JHTML, XML, CFML, JS, CSS, ASP, PL, PHP and TCL Files. The look of the html page won't change after it is compressed. It just looks like before. You won't see a difference. There is a Pro version with more shrinking possibilities. ------------------- Checked results on: mm_menu.js free up = 2 kb Valaki Exports Co.htm, style.css, style1.css free up = 2.50 kb ------------------- 2. Strong Js (free) Reduce the size of typical JavaScript files by 50% on average depending on the style the code is written in. The execution of the js file won't change after it is compressed. It just executes like before. 3. Advanced GIF Optimizer v.4.0 (free trial version) This is optimization software for .GIF files with batch processing. ------------------- Checked results on: All files with '128 colors optimization' free up = 61 K (of course no quality loss as compare to original ones) but you can do it with '64 or 32 colors' to further free up almost 50 kb to 150 K approx, but as said before you will have to sacrifice quality or reduce the number of images. ------------------- 4. Sparkle Swf Optimizer 1.10 (free trial version) It’s a Flash optimization software. It can reduce flash file size without losing flash quality. ------------------- Checked results on: banner1.swf (Its look like file is optimized already) or you can try another software with more options like:- ------------------- 5. Flash Optimizer 1.48 (demo version) Flash Optimizer manages to compress SWF files up to 60-70%! And you have the total control over each and every optimization option, which allows you to reach the most effective compression. So at least you can reduce the size from 357K to 292K with out any quality lose, but again which is not good for some dialup users.
Flash sites are always slow.. what I always do is create a splash page (They load super fast) with two options, an HTML version (for dialup users) and a flash version (for highspeed users) to keep both parties happy.
First, what is the purpose of the site? Is it for corporate site? Clearly there are too many graphics (and God-forbids) flash animation. If you think the animation is good for your corporate image, then by all means, do proceed with all the trappings. As someone mentioned previously, the size of your page is about 350KB. You have no choice but to live with that. To get an idea, get a lumpy .jpg file of 350KB, upload it to your web server, and try to view it on your web browser. Your website is like that one big .jpg file. Good luck!
