    Hi,

See the home page link from relavant site or side way link from the same site, its not matter. The thing is Page Rank, if your site is having high PR then go for the side way link with the Main keyword you want positions in google. Other wise go for the relavan site home page link. If you want links i can get you(not home page links), pls contact me at - texasddc at gmail dot com

The sitewide link would be better because you'd get more overall links, but I have heard that there are diminishing returns if it's all from the same site. It depends on your budget, really.

A sidewide link is better than one in footer. But I think you should focus on page rank of the linking page and visibilty of the link can help you decide the clicks on your link from that page.

If both of them do have same PR, then go for th "link sitewide on the same site".
If the link sitewide on the same site do have lower PR then choose the "link on a homepage on a related site"

sitewide will probably be better... since it already includes a link on the homepage , plus additional links lol

It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If you want to maybe get some traffic clicks then somewhere visible on the home page is good.

For PR the site wide is better. For SERPs and clicks the home page link is better. I'd take one home page link any day over a site wide.

But you get the homepage link with the site wide still, right?

I prefer a single link from the front page over a sitewide. Especially if I can get the link somewhere up into the text.

Sitewides look obviously bought. How many times have you went to someones site and said "wow, thats a great site, I think I'll put a link to that site on every page of my site!".

Single links or just a few links from a site have more weight that sitewides. IMO

site wide links are excellent and I try to aim for blogs which automatically do this. If the blog has 100+ pages of content with good PR you are getting a very good return
