    Hi ...

A PR6 blog is offering me a link and it can be homepage only or cross site.
Which is better for ranking (Google Bing and Yahoo) ?

    Thanks

Homepage link will help your homepage and no other pages.

Cross-site link will help the page it is linking to the most but the homepage will benefit slightly from the page below it benefiting and linking to the homepage.

If you are relying on this link to help your homepage move higher in the SERPs quickly then point it to the homepage.

One more thing I would like to add, if you are number 1 on the SERPs you will display your menu. Having your services & products pages in the menu is a benefit but they must have PR to be in the menu.

    Hi,

In my own experiences, cross site linking would be more helpful for SERP purpose since you would this would generate more back links for you.

    have a nice day,

If I were you I would go with homepage link instead of sitewide. A hundred links from one website cannot be compared to one link from a hundred websites, if take only numbers in an account. But more importantly is about the relevant and authority of the website that linking to you. It does matter more than the type of backlinks you acquired. (homepage / sitewide).

I'd also recommend homage only link.
But, I noticed multiple links indexed for sitewide links if the source site has high pr.

You will get the link juice both ways, so why bother? I always ask for sitewide links when buying or exchanging links. Thats not because it helps me in SERPS, (only home page link will help you in serp) but sidewide link will actually increase the backlinks to your site in yahoo and google eyes, which is what I always look for.
