(Gees, it was hard to write the title for this thread.) If a site has all it's backlinks pointing to just the domain name.. mydomain.com with no /index.html or whatever in the links, how does Google decide the exact filename of the page to which it attributes the links and PR? Does Google test the result of their download for typical index-type names? What if there is no "typical" name? What if the only page in the document root is bompa.html and my server is set up to deliver that page as the homepage? How would Google know the filename of http://mydomain.com/ just wondering, Bompa
