After change my title and description tags, my home page dropped out of the index for all terms, including the domain name. The strange thing is that all of my inner pages are indexed...it's just the homepage, the one I care about! Is there any way to determine the cause of this exclusion and whether it's technical (google can't crawl) or penalty induced...The page has many backlinks and a PR2 (recently updated). If it's a problem with the sitemap, how can I tell and what should I do? Googlebot's visiting all the time, so it must be a sandbox or a technical issue. The site is the Alternative Books in my sig.
We are also having the same problem... All inner pages are still indexed and cached, homepage disappeared completely, am trying to find out what could have caused this.
Well, the page has finally reappeared, now I can start trying to show in the SERPs! Good luck, rubeina!
That's good news Here also we're back, am not sure yet why it disappeared. It feels so good to be back #1 (was so stressed yesterday...)
You can open free account at google webmaster sitemap There you can verify your site with google add your xml sitemap there and even you can make complaint to a google about old caching, not crawling, etc. This will defiantly help
