Okay, unfortunately the design skill force is weak with me; I see a bunch of ideas I like and try to cram them onto a page, often with hilarious consequences. So, what I'm trying to create is an ICanHasCheezBurger site (complete with stupid cat pictures) but blended with the elements or styles of other sites I like, such as cracked, leasticoulddo, Joystiq and even a spot of Facebook. So, here's my first effort Link. As you can see it's a bit busy and a bit bright. What I need is for somebody with skills to incorporate these and make it come together into a usable site. So, requirements:- Page be c.985px wide. Header contains space for logo and an advert. Horizontal navigation with search bar. Colours can be changed. 3 column layout 160px, 500px, 300px (leaving 25px for spacing). Left column to contain sign up/login box + instruction boxes (size can vary). Left column can contain anything else that you want to put there but will probably just contain an advert. Left column will be same style on home page and single image page. Center column to hold picture. Picture will have title bar. Votes out of 5 graphics. Each image will also contain the other elements shown inbetween the title and footer bar, can be in any order. Footer bar to contain various bookmark icons. Bottom of center column to contain some sort of pagination/navigation option. Center column will contain 5 - 10 images (though if you just show one as the rest will look the same). Right column to contain a 250x300 ad at top. Right column to contain a newsletter sign up form. Right column to contain extra navigation solution such as those provided though you can add or remove whatever you'd like to see there. Right column will be same style on home page and single image page. Comments I like styled like Joystiqs (shown). Please go to Joystiq to see examples of how they style replies/quotes, but you can feel free to display another style if you think it's better. Comments are shown when user clicks through to single image page. The second page is the users profile page. I haven't attempted to draw this so you have free range for layout. Requirements though:- Profile pic Profile data displayed (name, location, etc) 'Wall'/comments area Uploaded images section Captioned images section I'll be on hand to provide feedback and reserve the right not to choose a winner. Competition closes 2nd March 10:00 GMT.
