Difference between Home page and index page.

 

Basically a home page is the main page on a web site. A web page is any page on a web site. The first page of a website is also known as a home page.It is the default landing page.

 

They both are same. The difference lies in the address. Mainly the homepage address in many websites in Index.html and that's why it is also known as Index page.

 

you can have either www. whatever dot com or www. whatever dot com/index it shows that this is the entry page into your website to the search engines.

 

Index page and home page are same.

The both home page and index page are same. It is redirect by the ht access file as "RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^tumbaglas.se/index.html".

There is on difference technically speaking. Developers tend to name the home page of any site as index.html, index.asp, index.php. In an SEO's view an indexed page is that which has been crawled by Google.
