Listen to good, upbeat music. Take frequent breaks. Check out DP, DigitalGangster and WickedFire and get motivated by people's earnings.

Great idea for an article. I have worked from home for years. I listen to all kinds of music. I also relocate myself around the house with my laptop. I find a change of scenery makes a difference. When I really want to switch it up, I take my laptop to a coffee shop for the afternoon.
I do exactly the same, changing "office". I've set up 3 small work areas in my apartment and just like you, I like to go out in the afternoon for a cup of coffee, beer or whatever and see some people. It can get some what lonely working alone And thanks...
Skype, Spotify, lots of cups of tea all help to keep me sane(ish). My worst habits when at home office - constant snacking.
