I have 2 computers in my home on wireless router. I want to somehow manipulate my kids computer from my computer rather than having to physically go to theirs to do what I need to do...help?

kids tend to be smarter than parents when it comes to a pc, if you are talking about spying on them, and they find out, you could really damage your relationship with your kids. not knowing what you want to do, makes it difficult to tell you what to do.

it could be anything from just sharing a printer.
    or watching their chat convos.
you need different things setup for both

You'd have to go onto their computer and set their storage drive to shared, and hope they don't change them back or notice (cause personally i'd be pissed if my parents were spying on me like that, or changing things on my computer at all).

I think what donell wants is remote desktop access - not specifically the ability to track his/her kids.

You can easily do this locally using VNC, you'll see your kids desktop on your monitor, when you move your mouse, it will move the mouse on their screen etc... just as if you were sitting in front of their pc.

http://www.uvnc.com/ (this is what I use, I love it!)
    Both are free, and good.

If you're XP, you can use remote desktop to log-on to the remote machine.
You may need to fix the IP addresses for that.

Their are loads of keyloggers out their.
and a lot of open source ones, i like iron geeks one it will mail the keys to you which is much better if you want to be stealthy.
But VNC is another great way to watch them.
