Holy Smokes 10,000 UV's to a 1 day old proxy .. Thanks DP

I built a proxy site last night.. brand new..

did a search on dp for the word proxy and saw nine threads all offering free proxy advertising so I pm'd each member and poof today over 10k unique visitors and over 250,000 pageviews in ONE day

AWESOME

Adsense isn't crediting me all the views though. They're saying I have 1800 ad views and 12 clicks for 1.06 revenue.. yet awstats and webalyzer don't lie.

I was wrong.. it's over 19,000 UV's today and 208,000 pageviews.

I can't cause it has personal info but I'm assuring you it's exactly as I said above and how I did it.. DP members did that .. I did no personal advertising.
The people on DP who are offering free proxy advertising really do it!

Yes perhaps but they still are crediting some views and not others. That was my point.

 

You are burning your bandwidth if you didn't much out of that traffic. LoL
1 more thing, Adsense doesn't like site that have traffic that doesnt convert well

 

Plus the reason you might not be getting adsense impressions is because your adsense isnt on every page they browse

^ makes sense.. There's an option for that in the new zelune. I just haven't got it working yet.

 

If you put adsense ads on the proxied page you will probably end up getting your adsense account banned, as that is against their terms of service. Also, Webalizer and Awstats tend to give dodgy info about proxy site visitors, so I wouldn't rely too heavily on them.

 

lets see. your proxy site is 1 day old. you put that up, you PMed all the DP members who offer proxy advertising, they all responded to your PM right away and put your site for advertising, and you started getting traffic instantly. just doesn't add up. besides, your stats are from 16th and 17th, so that makes your proxy site atleast 2 days old?

 

The problem is people are probably direct linking to your proxy, hence why no one is actually seeing the google ads.

Happened to me.

 

The site went up at 9:48 last night. That's about the time the dns resolved.

What you just stated is exactly what I did. Try it.
