was fooling around with the adwords traffic estimator and popped in "expedia"....

    holy results batman

    $12-$18 cpc/1800-2400 Clicks per Day/$22,810 - $42,030 per day

who's paying this type of $$ for adwords using expedia other than Expedia and can't imagine the ROI on this keyword...

$8.3mm per yr on a best case basis... think Google gives a discount if you're spending this type of $$ with them....

Kind of an offtopic topic but WOW

That's a good way of stopping people making money advertising Expedia as an affiliate site! ;)

Well, EXPEDIA is having really bad reputation lately. They need to spend a lot of money to silence the bad reports and complaints from unsatisfied customers. Simply search for "EXPEDIA complaints" or "EXPEDIA victims" in Google or Yahoo and you will read thousands of horrible stories.

    Kind regards

well, expedia does offer an affiliate site via commission junction but haven't heard enough positive stories about CJ to make it work...

we're looking at launching a forum site for a large upcoming trade show in november and looking to place either an expedia banner or adsense listing on it... definately cannot afford an expedia adword link...

got it via the adwords pricing tool on google adword's to answer an earlier question...
