But Coach....we just determined that it would cost about $100 per lead.... How are they going to make a profit with your numbers? ~T
They sell the leads to 4 companies + SELL some of them on insurance?? Just taking a guess here but some insurance can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars over the period of a long time... so if they close 1% to get insurance or even less it's profit. Guessing that's where they are coming from?? Correct me if I'm wrong. - Chris
The lead companies must sell those leads more than 4 times....they are lying. Or....they might be getting a national discount for PPC....I dont' know if this is true...but i heard it might be.
If it costs $15 to generate a lead, and they sell it for $50, then there's some profit there. Also your numbers and the numbers a guy with an awesome account history are paying are two different things. ie, you could be competing with people who pay a fraction of what you would have to for the exact same ad position.
Coach.... ....i'm saying it cost 7-$12 per click.....now after that i don't know how many clicks it take to get an application. They must be selling it More times then 4....Do you Get Me?.
I just started using adwords, for the search term i was targeting - related to seo and sem - google suggests I have a daily budget of $2200 and a mCPC of $50!
It doesn't surprise me, you're targetting highly popular keywords there. Try something less competitive.
When you are just starting with PPC, try using some other PPC networks. Adwords has become too expensive for beginners. have you tried YSM, and MSN adCenter? Miva also claims to have bids as low as $0.30 or smth for similar niches.
