I changed the layout and templates of 2 of my websites and my traffic has TRIPPLED!!!! in only a could of hours!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it, I wish I would have started it that way! WHOO HOOOOO!!!! If we had jumpy smiles, I would be inserting them, lol What I changed, WEll, the breastfeeding site and the honest online income, were pretty much just 1-2 page sites. I broke up my content and spread it out over several pages to try and lower my bounce rate. IT WORKED!!!
yes your placements are integrated into your pages nicely I have to admit . . . i think the baby picture in you last sig link is FUNNY ! also glad to hear about the increase in traffic !
Changing the layout and proper ad placements will increase the ctr and in turn the adsense income but I wonder how it tripled your traffic!

Thank you everyone! I am so happy. I hope it continues to rise. As for the quoted comment, I was reading up on bounce rates, an dnotice mine was high, and the reason was the one site was on a blog, and the other I had only 2 pages, so easier for people to click off faster. I figured if I spread everything out a bit, and add more of my content, then it would incourage users to go into my site further and lower my bounce rate. I read if a person is not on your site longer then 30 seconds it doesn't count, so I was trying to keep my visitors longer, and my site better. I can't WAIT until they finally make it on the search engines. They are only new though, so I have to be patient. Do you think they have the potential to earn $10 each a day. Thats my first goal.
A few hours work make a big difference on the traffic, which is amazing. It is good to change the ads placement to test the results. Congrats you find your own way now!

Thank you! Well, seeing as these sites are brand new, I am not talking in the thousands of visitors. On the breastfeeding site before yesturday, I was getting between 50-100 PV a day, and had even had days under 50 visitors. Well, yesturdays PV total for the breastfeeding site was 307! Before I changed the layout yesturday morning, I was at 20 visitors, and 2 hours later it was up to 97. I finished the new income site around 4 or 5 in the evening, and ended up with 187pv for yesturday. I think thats pretty good for a newbie whos not even on the search engines yet. I have been working really hard though, and trying to get only the best content for my page. Praying my site grows and gets out there and I make $10/day for each site. Fingers crossed!! I am going to spend time today working on my backlinks.

OK are you guys talking unique visitors or are we talking about page views? It would increase page views of course because they have to look at more for the content. As for unique visitors there is no way changing your layout will increase it. Its just not possible. Are you on google analytics? If not you should be. It will tell you everything you need to know..
