    Wow!
I logged into my adsense account this morning and I looked at my "DigitalPoint" channel. I had 2 impressions, and 1 click, earnings = under dollar, but quite a few cents. Not too surprising. But what was really shocking was that when I checked the avg. eCPM is was ~ 350$!
What kind of maniac would pay 350$ in CPM?!?!

I'm sorry, but I'm still in a state of shock.

    congrats ;)

ive had an ecpm of over 850.00 and then 1 for over $1100. i agree. who would pay that much. although as impressions increased ecpm went down the drain.

still cool none the less. ;)

Ehm, that totally doenst mean you'll get $350 for 1000 impressions. It just that you only had 2 impressions, and with those impressions made 70 cents (due to the one click), so Adsense calculates you would make $350 with 1000 impressions, but that is never going to happen.

Averages are not accurate unless there is a high enough sample size. A basic function of statistics.

Because you only had 2 impressions and 1 click that's why it was high. eCPM is based on one thousand impressions. It doesn't mean someone was paying that amount per 1k impressions but if you maintained a 50% CTR with 1k impressions at the same cost you earned on your click then yes it would be $350. Very unlikely but even if it was to happen it could be coming from hundreds of people not just 1.

I wasn't getting too happy hehe ;) I haven't even earned enough on my adsense to pay for hosting, under 20$ in total, but that doesn't matter, I just actually thought that someone was paying 350$ CPM, but it seems that I got that wrong  Well, it made my morning:p

There are actually people who pay quite a bit for advertising. For instance, during the momentary timeframe that I experimented with AdBrite, there was an advertiser who extended a $100 CPM bid for an interstitial advertisement. It’s astonishing, but seems really far-fetched and raises doubts on my end. :)

As gkgk11 pointed out... that's not going to happen it's just an estimate based on the 2 impression and the 1 click...

In fact if that DOES happen you will most likely get banned :)

Maybe it's someone who's completely new to Adwords and didn't know what they were doing, or a big company with a lot of money to spend. Or maybe a pissed off employee in the marketing department who's trying to get fired, who knows.
