I like to have an understanding of all the ups and downs in my web traffic and Adsense income. Some the topics in my sites do well with Indian traffic so I'd be interested in the business holidays in India. For those of you from India or familiar with it, what are the holidays or festivals that might affect Indian business web traffic?

I'll already assume a big cricket match with Pakistan might have an affect.;)

    lol :D,

That will be difficult to say. With lots of states and different cultures, you have plenty of different holidays and festivals. Though the national holidays are few 10-15 days a year.

If you could give theme of you site, may be I can give you more details.

Just to share that I do my country's island-related travel stuff and the eCPM isn't all that great. I'm not sure how India-related travel topics would fare.

Well, I am from India and would say that not a lot of people spend a lot on Tourism except Honeymooners or people who retire with a lot of money. And most of those people do not use the Internet to find the travel packages. Diwali (kind of Indian Christmas) happens in the first week of November this year.

I think he meant more on foreigners looking to travel into India, am I correct? For example, for my island website, the top 3 IP addresses come from Australia, USA and Singapore respectively.

Thanks for the replies. My sites relate to technology and business. So I was wondering about the days when businesses close for holidays. For example, if you have a national holiday that businesses in the big cities and areas close for, these days I would like to know about. So I am looking for the days that a Java developer in Bangalore would be off at a festival or home with family rather than on the net researching global trends banking software.

    Thanks.
