Hey there all. Two nights ago I went to a wonderful dinner show with great food, and wonderful historical Christmas music, sort of a Renne Faire feast thing, and it got me to thinking about Christmas Music, and music for other winter holidays (Solstice, Hanukah, ect)

I was wondering what other DPers had as some of their favorite Holiday Music.

Thus far my top 3 are:
Silent Night – simple, beautiful music about Jesus that is most beautiful when sung together and softly by many people.
Joy to the World: Any time I can muster up the emotion to sing this song, the joy in my heart just increases. It always makes me feel great to sing it with my outside voice. ^_^
Good King Wenceslas – I can sing it alllll year long, especially in winter, and no one has yet to tell me it’s to early or late to sing it, as few people know what the heck it’s about. ^_^

I really like, 'Don't Stop The Cavalry', I think it's a really unique song and always makes me bob along to it!

I haven't heard of that one. Is it a traditional holiday song, or a more modern one?

my favorite christmas song would have to be Carol of the Bells because I love the tempo and how fast it's sung. The Trans Siberian orchestra does a good job with this song

No slow X-Mas music for me, pls, it makes Christmas all emo. So 'It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas' will do.

*chuckle* Yeah, slow music of any kind can do that if it’s sung in a depressing way. It always surprises me how depressing a group of Lutherans (of which I am one) can to make a joyful song seem.
