Its the holiday season and if you don't already have a marketing plan in place, it may be time to plan for next year.

I wanted to start a thread to discuss different marketing ideas, and then discuss there outcome ROI, etc... over the holiday shopping season....

My main Marketing efforts this year will be:

#1 PPC (But I scaled it back from last year)
#2 Magazine advertising (First Year Doing this)
#3 Run of Network CPM ads (Value click....)

As I go through the holiday season I will share what’s working best for us.... if any one else wants to join in please do!!

My site is best described as specialty electronics.

I have never done magazine advertising, would be interested to hear how it worked for you.

I have done magazine advertising and I am still earning recurring income from it.

My advice is to haggle hard on rates. Often you can get a quarter of their first offered price.

Placing Google ads in other sites
    Digg
Advertising in other sites (A shit load)
Ads in search engines (A shit load)
Submitting articles on a weekly basis
    Social bookmarking sites
    Affiliates

Sometime next year I will be doing infomercials, and have sponsors pay for the air time.
