I love read trash talk celebrity news sites, and much to my surprise when I find HodgedUp's site gets a featured link on www.Idontlikeyouinthatway.com for his take on Brokeback Mountain. Great way to get a link dude...that's gotta be pulling in some traffic. Now I only wonder why it is he keeps talking about this movie!
Seriously though, why would Ang Lee make a gay cowboy movie? I would like to stand outside of a theater playing this movie and watch to see how many guys leave after finding out what the movie is about. You know a lot of guys were probably tricked into going to see this. BTW- Anne Hathaway has nice boobies!
Hodge, did you really watch that movie? Were you waiting on Anne Hathaway's boobs? There are some really hot pics of Kate Beckinsale on that site (Idon'tlike...), btw.
Hodgedup is a hero in my book because he sent a note into this radio station suggesting they ante up for charity (looks like they aren't) and they read it on the air this morning ...
Thanks, alek. They read it? That's cool. I would have wrote more if I knew they were going to read it. I would have told that story about the time I saved a girl from a horse that was out of control.
A friend was supposed to be recording things on his MAC via some sort of radio attenna - they "said" they were going to put me on again after our on-air conversation the previous day ... but the bailed and didn't even say - typical dealings with the media - oh well. My friend is out this weekend, but hopefuly he captured it and I can get an MP3 - was around 8:08AM MST today on Alice 105.9 in Denver, Colorado.
I had to reread that, I honestly read it as for some reason the first time around... Was like WTF, then reread and it made sense
Actually I really did save a girl off a horse one time in high school. It wasn't a real big deal. The paper printed a story on it. The only thing it did was make my friends laugh at me.
I'll post a link to the MP3 if I can get it. They said it was "From Hodgedup" and the words sounded like the copy you sent to me.
My neighbors were having a family reunion and they have horses. Everyone wanted to ride horses including people that had never rode before. They had one horse that was kind of wild and they put a first time rider on it. The horse bolted with that girl clinging on its neck. I was driving home at the time and came around the corner in my truck and saw my neighbors standing on the road. I stopped and I kid you not this is what they said, “Dustin you have to help her. She's stuck on that horse." So I just followed the horse for a quarter of a mile or so in my truck and it jumped a fence. I got out and jumped over the fence and did a slow jog behind the horse for a short distance until it came to the corner of another fence. It turned around and jumped up lifting its front legs about 2 inches. I grabbed the bridle, helped her off and walked them back to the family reunion. It made the small local weekly paper, because well everything everyone does makes it in there. The funny part was quotes from the neighbors and their family like "He was like the lone ranger" "He’s a hero, that's what he is" and "Dustin wasn't afraid of that horse when it was rearing up on its hind legs". So of course being in high school at the time and having told my friends the real story they gave me a hard time about it.
Well I saved a crow once. Yeah, I saw a crow hobbling around in the parking lot of my bank. I guess someone partially ran it over or something. It was just spinning around in circles. So I ran him over all the way.
That would have been news where I grew up. There are two small towns nearby that have seomething like 19 and 35 people total. The each get a little section in the paper. An old woman from each area writes up the sections. The "news" always goes something like this, "Clara came down this weekend and so we decided to go to the Golden Coral. I had the salad bar, but I didn't get the all you can eat, because it's too much for me to eat. Billy had the Ribeye steak. He got it doen medium well and said it tasted right well. Clara got a chicken fried steak, but couldn't eat it all so she took half of it with her."
