Ive had yahoo on my site for about 3 days now and each day its only taken a couple of hits each day.

Of these couple of hits the total has been well over $7 bucks each day.

    Is this freaking normal ????

When you say "hits" do you mean "clicks" ???? It doesn't take many to = a decent payout in YPN. Think about how much you could make if you actually had traffic. ;)

    Sorry......yes I meant clicks.

Well my site has slowed way down in the past couple of months but when it picks back up......OMG

I think Im in the Google sandbox though.....I mean Im on the first page for MSN and Yahoo for Political Forum but not found in Google for the same keyword.

Google has pages indexed but not as many as MSN or Yahoo.

    It takes time sometimes..

Yeah, but don't count on it getting any better.

My experience is that Google is steady and predictable - x number of impressions means y revenue very steadily.

With ypn, a few impressions may generate a good payout, but it doesn't seem to scale. I think that might be because their ad inventory is lower.. so once a new ad is seen and acted upon, that's all you are going to get..

Or maybe there's some other reason, but they are unpredictable - for me, anyway. YMMV.

well all depends on the number of page impressions you have. Also I think its a thing to get a lil worried.

I wouldnt worry. Take the high paying clicks while you can.... as one of two things will happen when yahoo goes full blown... either google will have ot raise its payout to compete(i doubt this will happen) or yahoo will lower their payout to take more profit.... remember it is beta remember the early hadays of adsense people were making 10K then now make 5K with same clicks and traffic.

I know I shouldnt be worried but just such a big payout for just 2 clicks is all new to me...I dont make MAJOR money from any clicks really and this was just a big surprise to me.

Kinda inspires me to make some kick ass sites....LOL

It's awesome, but unfortunately, the high paying clicks probably won't last forever. If it gets cut in half, I'll still be very happy though.

I saw the same thing when I first switched to YPN on my site - $3-$4 clicks for the first week or so, then they numbers gradually got lower. I think what happens is that in the beginning you get the run of site ads from Vonage and Lowermybills - once the ads become better targeted to your content the payout is reduced to reflect those types of ads and the big dollar clicks are history IMO.

All types cause its a forum so the subject is always changing depending on the thread.

My site is still being run over by the bots to match the ads to the content. Some of the ads dont match anything as of yet.

I know people with mid $xxx cpm. This can't last too much longer or these advertisers are going to go broke (including microsoft).

Do you think Yahoo is passing all the money to the publishers during the beta ??

Sounds insane but makes ya wonder.

I am not sold on the idea at this point. It may turn out to be the case, but I am thinking not.
