    Hi there,

does a hiven (-) in my domain name effect my SEO?
In the past, I was told not to consider using a hiven in your domainname because Google doesnt like that.....

Anyone tips or suggestions on this one?

    Cheers

I use a hyphen in many of my domain names that have several words in them. It is a great way to make words stand out... which is better for branding your site.

Example: Which is easier to read:

    ilovegooglesearchengine.com
    or
    i-love-google-search-engine.com

The second, of course, is easier to read. This makes the domain more brandable, in my opinion.

And, to the best of my knowledge, it won't hurt your SERP standings, an it has a neutral affect on SEO.

I think that it is a good way to separate words, not only for people, but for search engines too. How else will they know where one word ends and where other begins? It should help seo if you ask me.
