Over a year ago now, I had a bright idea that I was going to establish a traffic exchange website that was going to be the mother of all traffic exchanges. I purchased the domain name hitsfire.com as it looked and sounded like the right one for my bright idea. Then I opened a window, some fresh air came wafting into the room and the effects of the glue I was using while building my model airplane began to wear off . . . I don't want a traffic exchange website . . . hitsfire.com has negligable residual traffic from a few backlinks left over from prior registry. It is my opinion that it only has value above reg fee in that it is short, memorable and would be self descriptive for the right usage . . . what do you think?
beautyinmd It has been my experience that short, memorable and catchy domain names incorporating short words that mean something can fetch a little more than reg fee in resale. Even without other indicators of intrinsic value. I'm not a greatly experienced domain name speculator, having only resold around 30+ domain names, but I have always managed to get somewhere in the neighbourhood of $25 for names such as this.
