I dunno where to stick this thread, so here will do. Does anyone use this programme called 'HitmanPro' ?! It's meant to be really good and scans your whole computer quite quickly - it's lots of virus scanners, spybot, etc all rolled into one. Opinions...?
From what I can find, it looks to be a freeware program. Most of the info I could find about it though seems to be in Dutch. Can't find any disparaging comments about it. If anyone does use it, would be interesting to hear what they think as it sounds like a pretty handy tool.
Yeah I just downloaded it and used it, & it's in Dutch. I thought maybe they'd have an English/American version though. It seems to be really good. It saves having to scan your PC seperately as it does it all automatic for you. I'm not an expert but I think it's pretty good and very handy!
When I was a kid, being "in Dutch" used to be a bad thing -- meaning "in trouble". I can't say I ever understood that expression, though...
I just use bazooka. Actually thinking about it, i cant even remember the last time i had spyware/virus/adware.

Hitman Pro? I just spit at my monitor and shake the CPU violently when there's any virus outbreak on my PC ( I normally do more damage than the virus themselves) For those who are reading this post thinking it has something to do with hitman for hire, do not despair. You can hire someone at http://hitman.us/
Could use something like that for my inlaws. They called to tell me they got yet another virus on their computer last night. They have Norton, but have had lots of problems with it, and ended up using Cox's paid support to get rid of the virus. Now they're trying Zone Alarm Pro. Had them off IE for all of a week and onto Firefox, then they went back because they had trouble with Norton, and the company could only scan their computer through IE. Somehow that became "we can't have Firefox on our computer at all". Pretty much every time I got there I'm fixing something for them on that computer. And yes, they do know better than to open unexpected attachments, or so they tell me.
That depends on how many more times they do this to their computer and want me to fix it over the phone. They're great people otherwise.
I feel that way sometimes with one of my sons. I don't even know how he manages to have some of the problems he has...
