On the niche that i m working, the original content that i use is around 40 pages of 700-900 words each. And they have all reached in top 10 position for the respective keywords in 3 months time

Good question When i started i also used to think the same, my first niche was such that there couldn't much to be done about quality links as there were no much competition, that was tough i should say and the webmasters of my related sites were mammoth multinational companies with no interest in linkbuilding, so i went mad, but got few somehow and now i look no further than DP, it rocks, you have webmasters of all kind on the prowl here getting few links is a matter of hours in DP
Congrats! I don't think this can be evaluated only by time... It's also related to the amount of money which you invest in the websites...for example in SEO you have to invest some money to rank well... So, IMO it all depends on the time you invest/day and the $$$
Dont know if you are slow or quick but the main thing is that you are improving and the earnings are increasing and you are happy
I beg to differ Time factor, i agree with you, to get a site ranked you have to optimise, you need to burn your keyboard Money spending, i dont think so, you need a host and designing skills and of course, some great content If you have then spend, or just optimise and wait, it gives results, if money had been the case then all multinational companies would have been having another way to generate income, adsense, they need to just spend money and earn more In one of my niche, i have the website in no.1 spot who spends millions to hire seo efforts, i m at second spot without spending a dime, but spending my time, i m happy to be second to him, let him feel comfortable for his millions spend
even i did reach 25 mark today.. its only a week after i started my blog! i guess original content has an awesome value to it!
I noticed that if you post things of at least some vallue to the reader, AdSense income increases several times when you switch from once in a while to once per day chedule
